At Design and Decor, we recognize that there are many people who would like to make some serious modifications to their home, but aren’t sure where to start and certainly don’t want to make any costly mistakes. We can help you develop a great design for your project, get organized and ready to build. We’ll even help you during your project with whatever questions you need answered.

All four of our major services, Remodeling, Interior Decorating, Space Planning and Design Coordination, are currently available in the Do It Yourself Service Package. We’ve tailored our Do It Yourself services so that anyone can follow our design and complete the project. You can pick any or all of our services and we will work with you to design the project of your dreams.

The Do It Yourself Focused Service Package is currently only available via e-DESIGN. Custom e-DESIGNs are handled through e-mail, phone and fax and include everything you need to get started.

The Learning Channel (TLC) recently featured our design work on an episode of Flip That House. During this project, we worked with the homeowner, Corey Loomis, to develop a complete kitchen and bath design. We also made recommendations on color coordination, window placement, Space Planning, cabinets and hardware selections, flooring, tiles and more. Corey chose the Do it Yourself approach on much of our design. In addition, almost everything was handled via e-DESIGN. Why should you hire a Designer? Designers are problem solvers when it comes to balancing finance, aesthetics, design and safety. Often times, designers can save you money by preventing costly mistakes that can devastate a budget. We can also give advice on counters, flooring, appliances, wood species, door styles, color coordination, lighting and plumbing fixtures.

Our Remodeling Design Service usually encompasses a kitchen, bath, office or multi-purpose room. Once you receive your custom e-DESIGN, you will be able to use these detailed plans to build and install your project. If you start and decide that it’s a little more work than you are willing to do, you can always let a competent cabinetmaker or builder of your choice build and install it for you. If you live in the local San Diego area, we can also offer to convert your project to the Design and Build Focused Service Package where we will take care of the building portion of your project. We also can help you find professional cabinet makers or builders if needed. We won’t tell anyone if you need a little help getting the job done!

Your own experience will dictate whether you choose to purchase and assemble cabinets yourself, have us provide cabinets for you and install them yourself or hire an experienced craftsman to install them. After you receive your e-DESIGN, we will work with you or your hired tradesman to discuss and clarify the project design.

Over the years, many cabinetmakers have used our plans for building and installation, and all have told us they were easy to follow, well designed and very precise. In fact, some of our repeat clients are carpenters and builders who hire us to create innovative designs with specifications for them to follow.

If you are interested in our Interior Decorating Service and want to do it yourself, then you’ve come to the right place. We are able to create beautifully designed interiors for any-sized budget. The Do-It-Yourself Interior Decorating Service is also delivered via e-DESIGN. The Professional Interior Decorators at Design and Decor will take your input and develop a simple-to-follow Decorating Plan that can help you create that show-room look you’ve always wanted. We are also able to incorporate elements of Feng Shui into your Interior Decorating e-DESIGN. Feng Shui Design, can define your life focus, change your attitude and instill a feeling of peace and tranquility in your living space.

Do-It-Yourself Space Planning has never been easier. With e-DESIGN, we will show you how to make every bit of your space useful and aesthetically pleasing. Whether it is a kitchen, office, garage, closet or any other area, a Do-It-Yourself Space Planning e-DESIGN can help you use the room to its fullest potential.
